1. Who you are paying
This page tells you exactly who takes your money, what you are charged, how the charge appears on your statement, and what to do if something looks wrong.

| What you are buying | One or more AYNI UNIT collectible pieces, at the fixed price of the design selected |
Check your statement carefully. The entry reads PHOEBE PARTNERS, not AYNI UNIT. That mismatch is the single most common reason people report a charge they do not recognise, so it is worth noting now. If a charge puzzles you, contact us before disputing it with your bank — we can almost always sort it out in a day.
2. What you are charged
2.1 The price. Each design has a fixed price, shown on the site before you order. The total is shown again at checkout before you confirm.
2.2 Nothing is added. No booking fee, no handling fee, no processing surcharge, no service charge. The number you see at checkout is the number we take.
2.3 One payment, never recurring. Buying a piece is a single payment. We do not store your card, we do not set up a mandate, and we cannot charge you again. Any future purchase means going through checkout again.
2.4 No ongoing costs. Owning a piece costs nothing. There is no storage fee, custody fee, membership fee or annual charge, ever. Once you have paid, the relationship costs you nothing further unless you choose to sell.
2.5 The only fee that can ever apply.
| Fee | When | How much |
|---|---|---|
| Marketplace service fee | Only on a completed resale of your piece to another collector | 5% of the sale price, deducted from the proceeds |
| Payout costs | Only where the institution receiving your resale proceeds imposes a cost | Shown to you before you confirm the payout |
| Refund processing | Never | Nil |
3. Accepted payment methods
- Debit and credit cards — Visa and Mastercard, handled by our payment provider.
- Bank transfer — available for higher-value pieces on request. Details come with your order and the piece is issued when funds clear.
We do not accept cash, and we do not accept payment from anyone other than the buyer. The name on the payment instrument must match the name on the order. A payment from an account in another name is returned and may trigger a review under our KYC & Compliance Policy.
4. Currency and conversion
4.1 Prices are quoted and charged in United States dollars (USD).
4.2 If your card or account is in another currency, your bank converts at its own rate and may add its own foreign transaction fee. That rate and that fee are set by your bank, not by us, and we receive no part of either.
4.3 The same applies in reverse to refunds. A refund converted back into your currency may differ a little from what was originally debited, because rates move. That is not a partial refund — we always return the full amount in the currency charged.
5. When you are charged
- You choose a design and quantity and fill in your details.
- You confirm the acknowledgements at checkout. No charge has been made yet.
- You go to our payment provider's secure page and authorise the payment. This is the moment of charge.
- We email your order confirmation. That is when the contract forms and your serial number is assigned.
If your payment is authorised but we then decline the order — because a check is not satisfied, or the edition sold out first — the authorisation is reversed or the amount refunded in full, without undue delay.
6. Money coming back to you
There are exactly two circumstances in which money moves from us to you, and it is worth being clear that neither is income:
- A refund, under the Refund Policy — your own money returned.
- Proceeds of a Marketplace sale, where another collector has bought your piece — their money, less the 5% fee, passed to you.
Proceeds are paid only to an account in your own verified name, and identity verification is required first, at any value. We do not pay third parties.
7. Payment security
7.1 We never see your card number. Card details are entered on the payment provider's own page and go straight to them. We receive a transaction reference, the payment method type, the last four digits and the result — nothing more.
7.2 PCI DSS. Our payment provider is certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Because card data never touches our systems, your full number cannot leak from us.
7.3 Strong customer authentication. Payments in the European Economic Area are subject to strong customer authentication under PSD2. You may be asked to approve the payment in your banking app or with a one-time code. That check belongs to your bank, not to us.
7.4 Fraud screening. Transactions are screened for fraud indicators, and a payment may be declined on that basis. We cannot always explain why, because explaining it in detail would help the people the screening exists to stop.
8. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks
8.1 Refunds. Your rights, including the 14-day right to withdraw, are in the Refund Policy. Refunds always go back to the original payment method.
8.2 A charge you do not recognise. Look for the descriptor PHOEBE PARTNERS together with the date and amount of your order, then write to info@ayni-unit.com. We answer billing queries within 5 business days.
8.3 Chargebacks. You have every right to dispute a charge with your bank. We only ask that you try us first, because a direct refund is usually resolved in days rather than the weeks a chargeback takes. Where one is raised, the piece is suspended until the dispute closes, and we provide the card scheme with the order record, the acknowledgements you confirmed and the confirmation email.
8.4 Unauthorised transactions. If you believe your card was used without your authority, contact your bank immediately, then tell us. We cooperate fully with your bank's investigation.
9. What your payment buys
Be clear on this before you pay. Your money buys a collectible piece from a limited edition, numbered and recorded in your name. It makes no payments to you, produces no income, and gives you no claim against the Company. It is not a bank account and no state or industry compensation scheme covers it. What it is worth later is whatever another collector will pay, which may be less than you pay today, and there may be no buyer at all.
Please read the Terms & Conditions, in particular section 4 on what a piece is and section 9 on what to understand before buying, before completing a payment.
